End of an era but a bright future ahead

I’d like to bring you up to speed with what’s happening at Ludlow. After 24 years our founder and former Chief Executive, Sid Ludlow has decided to step down. He retired from an active role in the business on the 27th June.

When David and I joined Sid, in the late 90s, we knew what a great business Ludlow was. Over the last ten years our involvement in the executive team has been focussed on working together to achieve the vision we had for Ludlow.

Over the past 12 months, David and I have been working with Sid to manage this important transition and we’ve recently completed the acquisition of his shareholding as part of a management buyout which has been supported by Mobeus Equity Partners.

We wanted Mobeus to partner with us as it is a leading private equity business that invests in growing businesses like ours. It has a stable investment team that has worked together for a long period and are prepared to allow management to run the business whilst being supportive and not intrusive.

Mobeus will also aid our plans to build Ludlow’s presence through organic growth or acquisitions of other wealth management firms that share our values.

While Sid will no longer be actively involved with Ludlow Wealth Management, our shared ethos of ensuring you are at the centre of everything we do will certainly carry on. There’ll be no change whatsoever to the service we provide to you or the relationships you have with our consultants.

We asked Sid to contribute to this message and he said,

“I would like to thank all our clients for believing in the “Ludlow Way” and for choosing us as your advisors. It has been a great privilege to serve you and your families over the last 24 years. I would also like to express my gratitude to the Ludlow team for the fantastic work they do, for their commitment and loyalty, you are in safe hands.”

I’d like to thank Sid for his guidance, dedication to excellence and contribution to the business and on behalf of the team here, I’d like to wish him all the very best with his retirement.

We look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.

Many thanks
Ian Hemingway
Managing Director
